Stephanie is an experienced litigator who acts in all types of contested Will,  probate and trust disputes including Will challenges and breach of Executors and Trustees’ duties.

Stephanie also specialises in contested Court of Protection proceedings, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) challenges, disputes over the registration and/or validity of Lasting and Enduring Powers of Attorney and challenging the actions of attorneys and deputies.   Stephanie has a particular expertise in advising on mental capacity concerns across all types of decision making areas, including in relation to managing finances, health and welfare decisions, challenging Wills and advising on applications for Statutory Wills in the Court of Protection. 

She regularly advises on concerns over unauthorised spending by attorneys, a common feature in Will dispute cases where such spending can come to light after a person has died.  Stephanie is also an expert in care funding and can advise on recovery of care fees, for example where the deceased may have been eligible for fully funded NHS Continuing Healthcare.  Her expertise in this area has been recognised by the The Legal 500 (the leading guide to law firms and solicitors in the UK).

Stephanie has undertaken extensive training with the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
